It’s a favorite neighborhood shop that serves up delicious java for morning commuters and folks looking to start the day on a nice, slow note.

You’re already in the neighborhood, so hop over to The Menil Collection to enjoy some unique art, all for free. Today, the neighborhood still retains its hallowed status as Houston’s premier LGBTQ+ stomping ground, and that’s in large part because of the assortment of both historic and new gay bars in the neighborhood and its surrounding areas.

Don’t forget to visit the Eagle Trading Co., a small store located inside the bar for jewelry, shirts, and all your other needs.

This city, sprawling yet intimate, invites you to dive into its eclectic blend of experiences, where the warmth of its welcome is matched only by the diversity of its attractions.

No matter the day or time, Michael’s Outpost offers chill vibes and is the perfect option for the queer person looking for an alternative to the vibes in the gayborhood. A huge dancefloor, karaoke, multiple bars, and gays dancing the night away all await at this historic honky tonk on Hempstead. Begin your journey at the Montrose gayborhood to find Houston gay bars, queer spots, and other LGBTQ+ nightlife.

The Montrose neighborhood is the beating heart of the LGBTQ+ community—from drinking and dining to being the place many also call home.

Located on Fairview Street, George Country Sports Baroffers a chill vibe with plenty to keep bargoers entertained. The queer nightlife scene is a little smaller than what you’d expect for such a big city, but you’ll still find whatever (and whoever) you’re looking for, from the best gay bars in Houston to big dance clubs, and lesbians to leather men.

Houston's dining scene is as diverse as its population, with flavors from around the globe. Dance the night away or post up on the outdoor patio for a night of fun.
