"It's everything I wanted for this place—and way better than a tractor shed. "Ronnie, for sure, [was] like, 'I wanna make a record without having to look over my shoulder,'" Brooks explained (via The Boot). We both had a pretty good handful of hits and, like, damn this is fun. He's also had his own successful solo career. It was awkward. She is regularly by her husband's side during his red carpet appearances. 

The couple has three children: daughter Whitney, son Jesse and their youngest daughter Haley.

I couldn’t have sung either one of those songs near that well. "There have always been hurt feelings," Dunn said. There is a quietness and peace here that I can't find anywhere else."

While Ronnie Dunn will always be remembered for being a member of Brooks and Dunn, we can all be in awe that he is part of another amazing duo with his wife Janine.

And we did plenty of times, but I think I think there was some nervous energy between the two of us. Their songs go viral on TikTok now quite frequently, and it’s really cool to see them helping bring that awesome 90’s sound to the next generation:

“Ronnie was singing hits right off the bat, even though we wrote ‘Next Broken Heart’ and ‘Brand New Man,’ he grabbed it.

Kinda always has been.”

Ronnie said they didn’t even know who would be the lead singer at first, which made things awkward:

“You start at that level, you don’t even know who’s gonna be the lead singer, or if there is gonna be a lead singer. While there isn't much personal information known about Ronnie Dunn's wife, we know that the couple happily enjoys the slower life these days on their 600-acre farm outside of Nashville.

But it didn’t take but a couple of years and a couple of gigs showed up and we never really lost that, whatever it is, that happens onstage. Just get over our BS.”

Ronnie stated simply:

“We tried to blow it real hard.”

Thankfully, it seems like it was just meant to be that they’d eventually work and sing together again, and they’re back on the road playing for fans doing it just like they always did.

Looking back, he can understand why ("What were our chances then?"), but as he once told HumpHead Country, he also sees their marriage as proof of beating the odds: "And yet here we are today. The couple, who have been married for over 30 years, also have two grandchildren.

Janine was married once before; she was a widow when she met Ronnie.

And she drug us into Vegas and we’re doing a 2 1/half hour show just shooting the bull and singing the songs. We’re both trying so hard with our egos involved, not knowing how it’s gonna go, you know. But it shook out to me, realizing, really, what a great singer he is.

They credit Reba having them in Vegas for getting that spark back, and the resurgence they’ve had since then is nothing short of impressive.
